Earlier this week, Kylie Jenner took to her Instagram Stories to share how her postpartum workout journey unfolded. The reality star spoke candidly about the issues she faced in the four months following the birth of her son, especially postpartum pain.
“4 months postpartum,” Jenner captioned one of the videos she shared. “I’ve been dealing with tons of back and knee pain this time around so it’s slowing down my workouts, but I’m on a mission to get strong again.”
In a similar post she shared in March, Kylie opened up about other postpartum struggles she’s been experiencing. She admitted that her postpartum period after her son was very different from how she felt after the birth of her daughter, Stormi.

When it comes to postpartum joint pain, the physical demands of pregnancy and labor may be to blame. A person may experience pain in the finger joints, hips, or knees, or the pain may occur with other symptoms and interfere with daily life.
In some cases, the pain may be due to arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome. Gentle exercise and a healthy diet may help reduce the risk of postpartum joint pain, according to Medical News Today.
While it’s certainly safe to say that Kylie Jenner’s life isn’t always the most relevant to other moms, the struggles during the postpartum period is something we can all sympathize with. And if someone with a giant public platform wants to shine a spotlight on their struggles so other moms can feel seen, well, that’s not a bad thing.
